herpes encephalitis, brainstem and myelitis

23-year-old female, no underlying disease, suffered from intermittent fever, headache, confusion for about 1 week. She visited our ER and CSF study showed increased white cells with lymphocyte predminance and increased protein level, normal glucose.
Poor attention, amnesia, visual halluciation, urinary retension, generalized hyperreflexia were noted.
Herpes encephalitis was likely.
